A Church Built on Prayer. Shaped by Generosity. Centered on Jesus.
The Altar ATX is a new church on the west side of Austin led by Pastor Chris Tapken. We believe that when a church seeks God wholeheartedly, lives generously & follows Jesus faithfully, communities are changed.
Learn more about the Altar's men's ministry: Watchmen. Led by volunteer leader Mike Helton, the group is currently scheduling a regular meeting time & place.Â
We believe everything we have is ultimately a gift from God, and generosity is one of the ways we reflect His heart. We give our time, resources, gifts & lives because we’ve experienced the generosity of Jesus ourselves.
